# Export Reminders to Markdown

Alto Index writes each Reminders list as one Markdown file of tasks with due dates, priority and completion, kept in sync. The first 100 reminders are free.

Keep track of tasks and to-dos in markdown format.

## What you get

- One Markdown file per list: open reminders first, then the completed ones
- Each reminder a task line in the form of Obsidian's Tasks plugin, with its priority, 📅 due date and ✅ completed date, and a link that opens it in Reminders
- Its notes and the day it was created under it, then its pictures and saved links

## Where the files go

```
alto-index/reminders/trip-to-the-coast.md
alto-index/reminders/attachments/
```

## What you choose

- Tick the lists to export
- Wikilinks or standard Markdown for pictures, in Options… or Settings › Markdown

## Left out

- Sections, flags, repeats and locations
- Subtasks are listed, not indented
- Empty lists

## Free and paid

Your first 100 reminders export and keep syncing free. Then one purchase unlocks Reminders: on its own, as one of any three apps, or with all of them. See [pricing](/pricing).

## With Claude

`/altoindex:reminders` in the [Claude plugin](/claude-plugin) browses a list, and the [MCP server](/mcp) lets Claude Desktop search your reminders.
